CRBC Chairman Lu Shan Attends the Signing Ceremony of Implementation Agreement for China-aided Manila Bridge Projects in the Philippines

On November 14, CRBC Chairman Lu Shan attended the Signing Ceremony of Implementation Agreement for Two China-aided Manila Bridge Projects in the Philippines. The Implementation Agreement was signed by Zeng Huacheng- Deputy Director-General of Agency for International Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce of the P.R.C and Mark William- Minister of Department of Public Works and Highways of the Philippines on behalf of China and the Philippines respectively.

Both parties had a friendly communication during that period. CRBC Chairman Lu Shan addressed the ceremony as the representative of construction enterprises. He introduced the overall conditions of CRBC, its history and operation status in the Philippines, and noted that CRBC is capable of and confident in completing the Project in superior quality and to a high standard, in a bid to make contributions to the long-standing friendship between China and the Philippines. Mark William noted that CRBC is a reputed enterprise with powerful construction capabilities, and he believed that CRBC could complete the Project satisfactorily.

After the ceremony, Mark William- Minister of Department of Public Works and Highways of the Philippines had further communication with CRBC in the company of two deputy ministers Stein and Carrey. CRBC Chairman Lu Shan introduced the input and arrangement proposed by CRBC for the Project, and noted that CRBC will spare no efforts putting more resources for the satisfactory completion of the Project. Mark William is satisfied with CRBC’s arrangement, and two deputy ministers also expressed their trust in CRBC’s contractual capacity.

Manila Bridge Project comprises Binondo- IntraMuros Bridge and Estella – Pantone Bridge. The two-way four-lane Binondo- Intra-Muros Bridge has a total length of about 734m and a deck width of 21.65m, and the two-way four-lane Estella – Pantone Bridge has a total length of about 560m, a bridge length of about 221m and a deck width of 21.65m.
