CRBC and CAU Hold Graduation Ceremony for Congo-Brazzaville Graduates in 2017

On July 4, Graduation Ceremony and Degree Awarding Ceremony for Congo-Brazzaville Graduates in 2017 jointly cultivated by CRBC and Chang’an University (CAU) was held in the Academic Exchange Center of CAU. Among the attendees were Daniel Owassa- Ambassador of Congo-Brazzaville to China, CRBC Vice President Liu Jingbo, CAU President Chen Feng, and CAU Vice President Zhao Junhai, etc.

CRBC Vice President Liu Jingbo addressed the ceremony, expressed the congratulations to the foreign students on remarkable achievements they have made, and hoped that they could apply the knowledge they learnt in practical use, dedicate themselves to their motherland, and make more contributions to the development of cooperation and friendship between China and Congo-Brazzaville. He noted that Congo-Brazzaville is one of the key markets of CRBC, and CRBC has undertaken a batch of projects with important influence in Congo-Brazzaville, and hoped that all students present could cooperate with CRBC to make more contributions to Congo-Brazzaville and the people’s livelihood. He also noted that CRBC attaches great importance to the performance of its social responsibilities in overseas countries, and will continue to give back to local society.

In his address, Daniel Owassa- Ambassador of Congo-Brazzaville to China extended the thanks to CRBC for its donation, expressed the satisfaction on the achievements made in cultivation of foreign students, and placed great expectations on them. He noted that this ceremony not only represents the close cooperation between both parties, but also determines the joint vision in the future. The graduates jointly cultivated by both parties will surely make more contributions to the friendship between China and Congo-Brazzaville.

CAU President Chen Feng pointed out in his address that it is of far-reaching significance in cultivating foreign students in China through university-enterprise cooperation. He emphasized that this project not only provides a batch of excellent engineers for Congo-Brazzaville, but also cultivates a pool of senior talents who are familiar with Chinese culture and support China, making new contributions to the traditional friendship between China and Congo-Brazzaville. He hoped that the graduates in 2017 could become the pillars for the construction and development of Congo-Brazzaville and special envoys of friendship between China and Congo-Brazzaville as soon as possible.

CRBC and CAU signed the Agreement for Joint Cultivation of Congo-Brazzaville Students in 2010, and funded the first batch of Congo-Brazzaville students in 2011. So far, a total of 119 students from Congo-Brazzaville and Senegal have finished their study or are now studying in CAU. Leaders from both countries attached great importance to the friendship between China and Congo-Brazzaville. The central media of China interviewed the Congo-Brazzaville students when Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Congo-Brazzaville in 2013. During his two visits to China, Sassou- President of Congo-Brazzaville met with Congo-Brazzaville students funded by CRBC and encouraged them to study hard to make contributions to the friendship between China and Congo-Brazzaville.
